This wine is all about the primacy of varietal fruit characters & letting them sing in vibrant harmony. Colour is an attractive dark cherry. The nose has an enticing tangle of fresh plum fruits, spiciness, briar, & a hint of gaminess from the Grenache. A beautifully structured wine, it tastes of dark fruits with underlying hints of liquorice and savouriness, all reined in by soft tannins. The youthful freshness of this style makes for a perfect lunch wine. Wonderful with Mediterranean style foods: pizza, pasta and chicken dishes and the perennial favourite, Shepherd’s Pie!
