The 2008 Bridgewater Mill Shiraz is a bright, deeply coloured wine. Fresh ripe blackberry and lifted plum combine with spicy white pepper on the palate to produce a long, balanced savoury Shiraz, quite different in style to the traditional Australian Shiraz styles, typical of the Barossa and McLaren Vale. Subtle oak blends beautifully with the spicy Fruit to produce a cool climate Shiraz that will reward careful cellaring, while being up-front and approachable in its youth.
